The State Bank of India SBI conducts the examination for specialist officer SO Legal Officer. Check the eligibility and exam pattern here at Lawgica. Eligibility: SBI SO Law

Applicant must be a minimum of 25 years and a maximum of 35 years in age. There are relaxations for which candidates can check the official notification.

Candidate must possess a degree in law from a recognized university.

The candidate must also be Enrolled as Advocates with Bar Council and have 4 years of experience as practicing Advocate or Law Officer in the Legal Department of Scheduled Commercial Banks or  4 years combined experience as practicing advocate and Law Officer in the Legal Department of Scheduled Commercial Banks.


Pattern and Syllabus: SBI SO Law

SBI SO exam includes two papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2.

Paper 1: SBI SO Law

There will be 70 questions from reasoning ability and 50 questions from the English Language. The time limit for this paper would be 90 minutes. The course includes questions from

  • Reasoning Ability
  • Quantitative Aptitude


Paper 2: SBI SO Law

This will have questions topics related to law, with 50 questions to be solved in 45 minutes. The course includes questions from

  • Banking Regulated Laws
  • Banking Security Laws
  • Negotiable Instruments
  • Electronic Banking
  • Banker-Customer Relations
  • Banking Operational Laws
  • Financial Analysis
  • Ethics and Corporate Governance in Banking
  • Loans and Advances
  • Compliance and Legal Aspects etc.
